Since 1998

A gallery built for the long collection

Noir Gallery began in a single unlit room on the Rue Saint-Merri, with one bronze and one collector. Our founder, Camille Ferrand, had spent a decade in the sculpture department of a major auction house and left convinced that the finest works deserved slower rooms and quieter conversations.

Nearly three decades on, the premise has not changed. We represent eleven sculptors working in bronze, obsidian, alabaster and basalt, and we release their work in editions rarely exceeding twelve. The gallery maintains viewing rooms in Paris and London, and travels to collectors in Geneva, Doha, Singapore and New York.

We advise on placement as carefully as on purchase: lighting, sightlines, plinth height, the hour at which a surface reads best. A sculpture acquired well is lived with for a generation.

Selection

Every work is seen in the studio before it is offered. We decline more than we accept.

Foundry papers, edition certificates and condition reports accompany each acquisition.

Discretion

Collector identities and transaction terms remain confidential, always.
